Podocarpus falcatus is a large, evergreen coniferous tree, one of South Africa’s most majestic indigenous trees and is prized both for its ornamental value and quality timber. With a straight, tall trunk and a dense, conical to rounded crown; narrow, sickle-shaped, leathery leaves that are glossy green and spirally arranged, it’s considered one of South Africa’s national trees.
