It is an extremely attractive and hardy evergreen perennial with a basal rosette of dark purple, strip-shaped leaves that gently arch over toward the tips, adds majesty to the garden. The striking flowering stalk, bears panicles of tubular, red flowers that draw nectar-seeking birds, is atop the architectural and vibrantly colored foliage. Excellent for beds and borders or container gardening.
