Elberta Peach
The world’s most famous peach! Elberta is a yellow, free stone dessert peach. The fruit is large and round with an attractively dark red blushed skin. The skin is yellow, but distinctively red around the pip. It is very juicy with a slighly tart flavour and a coarse, melting texture. The fruit ripens from mid-January and is excellent for drying, canning and fresh eating. The tree is a compact, slow grower with an upright growth habit, making it very suitable for small urban gardens. Elberta will also grow well in large pots.
