Pennyroyal

A member of the mint family, pennyroyal is an old garden favourite.  The leaves have a wonderful aroma and it is very effective if planted between pavers where the fragrance can be released underfoot.  It is a fast grower and does well in moist areas in the garden, like water gardens and ponds as well as in pots.  Tiny, purple-blue flowers appear in summer.

Care Tips 

• Light: Prefers full sun to partial shade.
• Water: Keep the soil consistently moist, especially during hot weather.
• Soil: Grows best in rich, moist, well-draining soil.
