Big Blue Lily Turf

It is a popular and attractive tuberous perennial that is a hardy and compact. It forms a dense clump of narrow, arching, dark green, strappy leaves, with spikes of thickly clustered small lilac-purple flowers which appear above the leaves and gives way to round, shiny, black berries which often persist into winter. This evergreen muscari is suitable planted as edging or groundcovers – can also be used as a lawn grass substitute.
