This evergreen perennial produces aromatic, narrow silver-grey leaves and clusters of small rich yellow button-like flowers. Its branched woody stems has a growth habit of up to 60cm. The plant has a culinary use on enhancing taste of curries and stews – can also chop leaves into mayonnaise, soups and salad or sprinkle over vegetable and egg dishes. Can also be used as medicinal use and other uses such as fixative in perfumes.
