The succulent produces long pointed green/bronzy-red leaves, the colour intensifies in bright light. Small white flowers emerge occasionally from the centre cup. It is a free spreading plant which forms dense large clumps. Good hardy option for a striking burgundy / maroon groundcover, multiplies quickly to form a spiky matt.
