Bougainvillas are the tough tropical vine climbers with lots of colour. They put on a spectacular show of colour in spring on their fresh new growth, they could spread and grow to 40 feet. Bougainvillas produces showy paper-like structures which are a modified leaf called a bract. They hide the actual flowers inside which are small and trumpet-shaped in whites and yellows. Normally, you’ll see the best blooms following a dry winter. This climber can be planted in a garden next to a fence or supply a trellis or other support.
