Blackberry

Blackberries are early, heavy bearers of large, delicious, shiny black berries with a sweet taste.  The berries ripen from December to March and are rich in anti-oxidants.  The plant has a spreading habit and needs a trellis or fence as support and regular training.  It can also be grown in containers, but have to be kept moist.  The edible berries are perfect for juicing, jams, desserts and as fresh fruit.
