Avocado ‘Pinkerton’

The Pinkerton avocado is a dwarf-growing, low-spreading tree that is perfect for smaller gardens.  From April to July, it produces medium to large pear-shaped fruit, with an easy-to-peel, rough, dark green skin.  The flesh is smooth and creamy, with a rich, nutty flavour and high oil content, making it excellent eating quality.  Pinkerton is not self-pollinating and go improve the crop it should be cross-pollinated with a type-B avocado, like Fuerte.
