A very attractive, perennial succulent with a smooth, soft-green rosette of leaves, resembling a giant open flower of up to 2m wide. The most striking feature of this plant is the arching flower spike, reaching up to 3m in height, that emerges from the center of the rosette in summer. Grow as an accent plant or in groups with other succulents in beds, borders, rockeries, succulent gardens and Mediterranean gardens. They also look very attarctive in pots.
