Cast Iron Plant

Everybody’s stand-by plant, either indoors or in the shadiest parts of the garden, it is an evergreen clump-forming plant with lush, dark green foliage.  We’re not saying you can’t kill this plant,  but it will withstand a fair amount of neglect and is therefore and ideal starter plant for newbie gardeners.  The leaves are very popular for flower arrangements.

Care Tips 

• Light: Prefers low to moderate, indirect light and shade.
• Water: Allow the top layer of soil to dry slightly between watering.
• Soil: Use rich, well-draining soil.
